More Meds Than You Can Shake a Stick At | Halifax, NS Breast Cancer Patient

I started Tamoxifen this week.  I was a little afraid to start this next step.  I'm not sure why - partially because of the side effects, partially because it's five friggin years you have to take it!  That's a lot of pills!  I waited until I was finished with radiation so I wouldn't have side effects from radiation and tamoxifen hitting me at the same time and not be able to know which treatment was causing what.  At least that was my excuse to put it off just a little bit longer.  With no excuses left, I sucked it up and started them last Monday.

I also started some antibiotics this week for my radiation burn.  Four pills a day.  Then there's the sleeping pills that help me sleep through the night (don't worry, they're non-addictive and I only take when necessary).  Add in a multi-vitamin.  Then, when I'm done the antibiotics I switch it up and take something else.

I'm beginning to wonder if it's time to pick up one of these...

um... no.

  1. Hopefully you can wait a little longer before you need a pill carrier. They come in real handy as it becomes harder to keep track of what you have taken and which ones come next. In time they can become your best friend. Love you, Mom
